- Subseries consists of photocopies and photographic copies of a collection of Love family photographs. Many of the photographs were copied from original family albums owned by Albert Parker, Esther (Love) Stanley, Gordon Love and Geroge Love. Records were created and retained during historical research of the Love family and the Love family farmhouse to help inform the Burnaby Village Museum restoration project. Family members were interviewed and provided detailed descriptions of many of the photographs. This information was transcribed in many of the photocopies of the albums. Copies of albums are described at file level. Selected photographs within albums have been described at item level.

The three podcasts are titled "A Family Farm"; "Where is your food from?" and "Chinese Herbalist Shops & TCM". The podcasts were created by students Rose Wu and Wei Yan Yeong from the Facutly of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia Faculty and while student interns at Burnaby Village Museum. The two interviews were conducted by students Rose Wu and Wei Yan Yeong from the Facutly of Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia, while student interns at Burnaby Village Museum. The recorded interviews include Dr. John Yang (doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Denise Fong (Burnaby Village Museum's Chinese-Canadian History researcher, co curator of the Accross the Pacific exhibit and UBC PHD candidate). "Scraps and Dragons" provides information on the origins of the Chinese-Canadian culinary dish "chop suey" and tells the story of Chinese Canadian Chop Suey restaurants, highlighting the history of the "Dragon Inn" chop suey restaurant owned by Larry Lee. "A Pig's Tale" shares informaton on the history of Chinese pig farms also known as "Piggeries" in Burnaby, highlighting the experiences of Chinese Pig farmers along Douglas Road. Films include versions with English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese subtitles.

- In 2020, due to the restrictions of COVID-19, UBC interns were asked to create virtual experiences to reimagine Burnaby Village Museum's historical Chinese Canadian programming in remote online spaces. Debbie Liang and Joty Gill (UBC alumni and graduates of Dr. Henry Yu's 2019 summer ACAM 390A Global Seminar to Asia) returned to work with Burnaby Village Museum to create two short films showcasing the history of Chinese Canadian Chop Suey restaurants and piggeries in Burnaby

- "Agents of Change" was a temporary outdoor exhibit on display in Burnaby Village Museum's new Carousel Plaza in the Summer of 2021. The exhibit highlighted stories of notable people who took a stand to promote or support social justice, in the hopes of changing the world. The exhibit included: Kapoor Singh Siddoo, Kwakwa_ka_'wakw Peoples, Eileen Dailly, Ernest Winch, Laura Jamieson and Yun Ho Chang. The exhibit featured audio components that enabled the visitors to hear from the people themselves.

- History
- The Board of Works was established circa 1895 in order to provide infrastructure to the rapidly growing population of Burnaby. During 1926 and 1927, the committee was referred to as the Board of Works, Transportation and Industries. Prior to 1926, there was a separate committee called Transportation and Industries which was responsible for this portfolio. In 1928, new committees were formed and the duties associated with transportation and industry was given to the Transportation and Telephone Committee and a Health, Hall and Grounds, Fire and Industries Committee, respectively. From 1933 to 1942, no Board of Works was appointed as the Provincial Commissioner governed Burnaby. When the Board was re-appointed in 1943, it became known as the Board of Works and Waterworks. In 1945, waterworks became a separate committee known as Waterworks, Health and Sanitation. In 1954, the Board of Works reverted to its 1943 name Board of Works and Waterworks for one year. By 1955, Waterworks became a separate committee. The Board of Works disbanded circa 1959.

- History
- The Court of Revision was established in 1989. The Court of Revision had the authority to revise the voters' list, the real property assessment roll, the business tax roll, and local improvement proposals, as determined by provincial statutes. It was also responsible for considering any complaints regarding assessment rolls and imposing parcel taxes. A Court of Revision was scheduled each year to provide an opportunity for property owners to appeal Local Area Services and Sewer Parcel taxes that were being charged for the first time. The assessments confirmed by the Court of Revision were the basis for the preparation of Local Area Services and Sewer Assessment tax rolls. In 2015, the Court of Revision became known as the Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel.

- The Water Committee was established in 1910. The Water Committee was primarily concerned with building sewerage, maintaining the City's water system, and monitoring water supply and water usage. The Water Committee was renamed the Water and Parks Committee in 1928. In 1929, the name was reverted back to the Water Committee. This committee disbanded in 1932.
