- The Burnaby Town Planning Commission was established in 1928. The Commission was concerned with town planning operations such as road improvement, land contouring, zoning, rezoning, and infrastructure projects within the City of Burnaby. It is the predecessor to the Advisory Planning Commission. The Burnaby Town Planning Commission disbanded circa 1957.
