Although named after a mythic creature, Dragon Bone is not from a Dragon and isn’t even a bone at all but actually a Chinese herb. The name comes from 200 BCE, before the use of science and technology made it possible to find out what a fossil was. It is usually consumed raw but its calcinated form can be helpful in treating various eczema and erupted sores.
