Colin Fox served in the 13th Canadian Field Regiment with the 44th and 78th Canadian Field Battery. In his letter Colin tells of how his regiment is now in Germany and that he is writing to her from a bombed out cellar in a German town; he tells of his current position as Battery Signal Sergeant and of how he and his regiment observed a German soldier being captured.

- One by One - Booklet -- Small book of poems called "One by One". The book is made out of stiff card with textured edges. The front cover has a pink border with purple flowers around the edges. The book was given to Mrs. Powell from Myrtle. Each page has an illustration of flowers or a nature scene. There is an ivory cord with tasselled ends connecting the book. The book was produced by The Art Lithographic Publishing Company and was printed in Munich, Germany. The booklet measures 12.5cm x 17cm.
