- Object History
- The Legion ribbon is associated to the North Burnaby Royal Canadian Legion Branch #148 track and field event in June, 1971 at Confederation Park. The event was part of the British Columbia Cenntenial celebration programming. The Legion was supportive of track and field at a national training level, beginning in 1957.

- Object History
- The Carousel 100th Anniversary event was held on May 5, 2012 at the Burnaby Village Museum. The items were given out to carousel volunteers who helped restore the carousel when it was brought to BVM. The party was to commemorate the 100 Anniversary of the building of Parker #119 in 1912. The sash was intended to be worn by the sponsor, or their representative, for each horse on the carousel.

- Suitcase made of cardboard with a dark grey/green coloured vinyl. The suitcase has metal edge detail and metal hardware including locks and hinges
- The locks and hinges are stamped with "CHENEY / ENGLAND". Both the locks and hinges have a ratcheting system in order to expand the suitcase in the event that the case is quite full.
- There is various strips of tape and tape residue around the exterior of the case.
- On the top side of the lid is a red plastic label "KALWANT SINGH PARMAR"
- Also on the lid of the case are two faded labels with a red band at the top.
- The inside of the suitcase is lined with a paper like material with a grey and white pixilated houndstooth pattern.
- There is a British Airways label inside the case with address information.
- Object History
- The suitcase was used by the donor when they immigrated from England (via India) on June 9 1973. They had been living in Coventry, England. They purchased the suitcase there. The donor flew from Amsterdam to Edmonton, Alberta on a Canadian Pacific Air Lines flight. They flew to Vancouver after that.

- Two Plays - ticket -- [1988]. Ticket for event presented by Deol Agricultural Society and Vancouver Sath for two plays: "Picket Line" and Crop of Poison" performed on Sunday, April 10, [1988] at the Abbey Arts Centre in Abbotsford.
- The ticket is printed in English on yellow paper and is marked "122" in black felt pen.
- Object History
- These items are ephemera collected by the donor during the active years of the Vancouver Sath organization. Most of the meetings and rehearsals were held in Burnaby, and most of the performances were held in Vancouver. The group was passionate about tackling difficult issues within the community and giving a space for these issues to be raised. The hope was the conversations would begin and go somewhere within families and the community. They covered issues of gender inequality, martial violence, wage discrepancy in work, union support, and racism.
- Vancouver Sath recognized that theatre was a more effective medium to reaching their audience than paper newsletters and publications was at the time. They were connected to the Canadian Farmworkers Union (CFU), and other location organzations for support, and due to many shared members. Often the CFU would apply for grants, and fund the cost of venue rental, set and prop procurement, and offering a modest honourarium to actors.

- Tin, metal box with hinged lid. Lid has coloured portraits of Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. Each side has portrait of Queen Victoria from four different years. Each portrait is framed with a gold coloured border and is surrounded by a few flowers.
- Object History
- On 22 September 1896, Victoria surpassed George III as the longest reigning monarch in English, Scottish, and British history. The Queen requested all special public celebrations of the event to be delayed until 1897, to coincide with her Diamond Jubilee. The Colonial Secretary, Joseph Chamberlain, proposed that the Diamond Jubilee be made a festival of the British Empire.
- Marks/Labels
- Lid has "Prince Albert" and "Queen Victoria" to the side of each portrait and "1837" between the portraits. Under each of the portraits on the sides of the tin are the dates "1897", "1821", "1837" and "1832". Underside of tin has partial stamp "...FRY Co LONDON" "MAKER".

- Uniform; women's jacket and skirt. Jacket in yellow, adorned with a B.C. Centennial badge with the offical emblem of a stylized grouping of the three "C's" representing Canada, Confederation, Centennial, with the provincial floral emblem, the dogwood, in the centre; two plastic buttons in tortoise shell design as centre fasteners; jacket style with lapels and two waist level pockets. Straight style short skirt in brown fabric.
- Object History
- The jacket and skirt were issued to female members of Burnaby's 1971 Centennial Committee. It is believed that these pieces belonged to Mary D. Trainer, who was the Centennial Co-ordinator hired to help organize a variety of community events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of British Columbia's entry into Confederation. Burnaby's Centennial Committee was chaired by Mr. James Barrington. The committee organized a variety of community events, including the construction of a Heritage Village (now Burnaby Village Museum). Mrs. Trainer altered her skirt to be shorter than the standard issue skirt: shorter skirts were a more fashionable look for a young woman at the time.
