Description: retail display cabinet or dispensing cabinet; wood slat construction (1/4 in. or 063 cm) with paper product labeling over top. Paper product labelling is in colour. Six drawers with small metal pull-rings. Original labeling appears to be for "Bauer & Black" brands of plasters and dressings, but other labels have been placed over the orginal markings in some places.

Object History: The original owner was the donor's paternal grand-father, Francis Lovett Carter-Cotton. He owned and edited Vancouver's first newspaper, the News-Advertiser, was B.C. provincial finance minister from 1898-1900, and was the first chancellor of UBC.
