- Object History
- The donors immigrated to Burnaby from England and Sweden in the 1920s. One donor's parents bought three acres of land on Douglas Road, near the west end of Burnaby Lake. In 1927, they moved to a stump ranch on Springer and Union on the south side of Capitol Hill.

- The candleholder is made of brass. The base is square and two of the corners have been slightly dented. The candlestick has several turnings with the upper portion changing to a hexagonal cross section.
- Object History
- Owned by the Sample family and used at their boarding house in South Burnaby. The boarding house was used as the first meeting place for Burnaby Municipal Council in 1892. The candle holder may have been used along with the inkwells and tray during meetings of the early council.

- Candle holder with rubber bottom and wratchet top. The intention was for the rubber to create a suction cup so the holder could stick to a wall. The position of the top is adjustable with a ball and socket-style hinge. Impressed on the side of the candle holder is "THE / NEW LONDON/ T.R.L.W.
- Object History
- Item was found inside lap desk that belonged to Sara Frances Botsford, who lived at 3813 Deer Lake Avenue in 1925. Jack and Sarah raised there three children (Frances, John and Grace) in the house until they retired to Lasqueti Island in 1946. They sold the house to their eldest daughter, Frances and son in law Ray Fleming who lived in the home until 1958. The house and property was sold to the Municipality of Burnaby in 1959 and the site became part of BVM.

- Set of eleven candle holders. They are made of wire, coiled on one end to hold a birthday candle and with approximately one inch of straight wire to insert into the cake.
- Object History
- This item belonged to the owner of Stewart's Cartage & Fuel Supply (1910-1978) on 3870 East Hastings and lived at 3902 Albert Street, Burnaby. He was involved in local politics in Burnaby North, as well as the North Burnaby Board of Trade and the Joint Community Ratepayers Association.
