- Handheld shaving brush with a white plastic base and tan bristles. Used for mixing and applying shaving cream.
- Object History
- This item belonged to George Jeffery served as a Constable on the Burnaby Police Force from 1912 - 1935. His patrolled the large Central Park District on foot, stretching from Boundary to Royal Oak and Marine Drive to Moscrop. Over the coarse of his duties, Constable Jeffery saw the need for recreational activities in the area. He founded the Burnaby Athletic Association which featured a competitive boxing ring and gym. In 1935, when the Burnaby Police became the British Columbia Provincial Police, rather than leave the community he chose to leave the force. George Jeffery then worked at the nearby Oakalla Prison Farm until retiring in 1945.

- Pipe; bowl part of pipe is tan colour, pale mottled; stem is darker; metal ring around bowl top and wide ring connecting stem and bowl; bowl ring has stamped marks 'EAM' in diamond and three symbols; same on connecting ring; end of stem broken off; case is cardboard, hinged, with red 'skin' texture on outside, and gold trim; inside is fawn-coloured felt
- Object History
- The original owner was the donor's paternal grand-father, Francis Lovett Carter-Cotton. He owned and edited Vancouver's first newspaper, the News-Advertiser, was B.C. provincial finance minister from 1898-1900, and was the first chancellor of UBC.

- Evening bag, woman's, beaded with irridescent beads, fringe, metal frame features bird design.
- Object History
- Evening bag belonging to Catherine Bertha Rees. She was born in Greenwood, B.C. and came to Burnaby in 1919 with her father, Kingman Nott Rees, and her two brothers. The family settled at 3114 Neville Street, Burnaby (later re-numbered 5674 Neville Street). Catherine attended UBC, graduating with an Arts degree in 1923. She taught French and Latin for 35 years at Burnaby South High School, starting in 1929. Catherine was also a long-time volunteer at BVM.

- Round based metal box with lid. Top of tin is embossed with product name. Bottom of tin has company name inside a sun-shaped design embossed. Tin comes with a pair of yellow-brown tinted goggles with metal rims and attached by a thin metal wire. Sun goggles are foldable and would be fitted over a pair of spectacles. Bottom of tin is velvet lined.

- Cutex Boudoir Manicure Set. 1923. Square, black and brown-coloured, cardboard box, with hinged lid. Upper left corner of lid features circular, seal-shaped label, commerically printed. Interior of the box is discoloured white and stained pink paper. Smaller, rectangular, cardboard boxes hold items inside base of box. Items are packaged in rectangular, black, cardboard boxes, with flap closures or lids; these are also commerically labeled, in white text. Box contains Cake Polish, bottle of paste polish and metal container filled with polish. There is also a bottle of Cuticle Remover and a tube of Nail White with its own box. Also included are an orange stick, metal nail file, three emery sticks and a brush for polish (polish missing). There is also some cotton batting.

- The shoulder bag is made of yellow canvas. Part of "A.R.P." (Air Raid Precautions) uniform. Probably not official but adapted by the user. "ARP" "WBW" is stencilled in black on the bag flap. The strap is hand-sewn to bag and the flap is secured by two snap-fastener closures

- British Columbia Corrections Service peaked hat. The hat is a summer style. It has black open- weave sides with a black peak, the hat fabric is khaki coloured. There is a brass hat badge with the BC Provincial crest. There is a black chin strap that rests on the top of the peak. Each end is held in place by a silver button with an embossed crown on it. The lining is red and the makers label is inside.
