Pages 21-23 include advertisements for local Burnaby businesses. Content of the newsletter includes dates between 1948 and 1959.
- Object History
- Seton Academy operated out of a mansion named "Overlynn" located at 3755 McGill Street in Burnaby Heights. "Overlynn" mansion was one of the first grandiose houses built in 1909. Seton Academy was a Catholic girls school that was run by the Sisters of Charity. The school and convent operated out of the mansion between 1927 and 1970. In 1970, the house was converted to a seniors home "Seton Villa" retaining the name from the school "Seton Academy". In 1995, the house was designated as a heritage building.

In the centre there are two oval headshot photos of "Governor A. E. Kennedy, Vancouver Island" and "Governor F. Seymour, British Columbia" above a drawing of "J.A.R. Homer, High Sheriff reading Proclaimation uniting the two colonies at New Westminster, November 19, 1866." At the bottom "Issued by/ THE CANADIAN CONFEDERATION CENTENNIAL COMITTEE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA" Interior has a story of BC's history and four landscape photos of Victoria and New Westminster in 1866, and Victoria Government Offices in 1868 and Royal Engineers' camp. Back has copy of signed declaration with two seals and signatures.

- Pamphlet was produced as part of the British Columbia Centennial '71 celebrations. It contains a story of the history of the two colonies and their joining to form Canada's sixth province on July 20, 1871. Back of the pamplet has a scan of the 1866 union proclaimation with signatures.

- Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) 2nd place prize ribbon in Creative Crafts; won by John Slawson in Augush 1988 for a doll house complete with furniture. The ribbon is arrow-shaped, pointed at the top and notched at the bottom. It has two layers of ribbon. The back layer is a white ribbon. The front layer is a red ribbon, with text in gold reading: "PNE / Creative / Crafts / SECOND / PACIFIC / NATIONAL / EXHIBITION / VANCOUVER / CANADA".

- Donor's father built the dollhouse in the 1980's after he retired from teaching. His hand-made home, furniture, and accessories won him 2nd prize in his age category at the 1988 PNE Creative Crafts competition.

Impett has signed it three times. Inside view of the school report card for Elsie Impett issued by Nelson Ave. Public School on June 30, 1915. She is listed as a "senior". Report card lists the months of January to June with columns for No. of Sessions, Times Late, General Conduct, Special Demerits, Reading, Writing, Arithmetic & Bookkeeping, Drawing, Composition, Nature Studies, Geography, British & Canadian History, Algebra, English Grammer, Literature and Spelling. Teacher J.G. Whiten has handwritten Elsie's grades and wrote a comment "Elsie has done excellent work.".

- Portable audio tape recorder with a time code generator attached underneath the recorder. The tape recorder is a "NAGRA IV - S" model with serical number "0604219", marked as made by "NAGRA KUDELSKI Made in Switzerland 1033 Chessaux Switzerland". Originally intended for use with 5 inch spools, this machine has been adapted to accomodate 7 inch spools. The clear plastic lid is moulded to allow 7 inch spools and wings have been added to the sides to support the larger spools. Toogle switches are recessed and setting switches are flat and notched both to prevent accidental changes while recording. There is no power pack with the machine. There is a battery compartment for 12, "D" size batteries located on the underside of the machine.. The tape machine has a sticker at the centre top reading: "AUDIO CINE SERVICES Inc. [address line struck out] 416-461-5015 FEB 9/99 468 71/2 99068" This may indicate the company and date of the addaptation to the larger spools The attached time code reader is marked "Tape Recorder Module TC 200A" "COHERENT COMMUNICATIONS INC." There are two male, seven pin DIN connectors extending from each side of the time code reader on short 4 to 5 inch blue cables. There are two female RG59 BNC connectors on the back of the module and a female 15 pin digial cable socket. There is a socket for plugging in a time code reader.

- This machine was used by the donor to record sound on TV and movie location shoots in Burnaby and the Lower Mainland. The Nagra IV was preceeded by the Nagra III, which revolutionized the recording of sound for film in the early 1960's. The IV was introduced in 1971 and used until the 1990's.

Three front pockets, two hip flap pockets with black button closures (one button missing), and one chest patch pockets with faux flap black button closure. Two inside pockets. The jacket forearms are reinforced on the outside and back is tailored with expansion vents. Label at the hem of the jacket reads: "GORDON CAMPBELL LTD. / VANCOUVER, CANADA"; lines on label in typewritten text reading: " 3246 W. OHL / Date FEB/58 / No. [ill.] N-2906".
