- Photograph of lumberjacks standing outside a wooden building at Deer Lake. Robert Pontifex is pictured 4th from right. Robert Pontifex came to Burnaby in 1898 and would later marry Beatrix Bond. He and his wife had seven children: Vivien, Helen, Bob, Audrey, Barbara, Basil and Hugh.
