- Subseries consists of photocopies and photographic copies of a collection of Love family photographs. Many of the photographs were copied from original family albums owned by Albert Parker, Esther (Love) Stanley, Gordon Love and Geroge Love. Records were created and retained during historical research of the Love family and the Love family farmhouse to help inform the Burnaby Village Museum restoration project. Family members were interviewed and provided detailed descriptions of many of the photographs. This information was transcribed in many of the photocopies of the albums. Copies of albums are described at file level. Selected photographs within albums have been described at item level.

- The Advisory Planning Commission was established in July of 1963. The Advisory Planning Commission was the successor to the Town Planning Commission. The Commission was responsible for advising Council on land use matters and reviewing all zoning bylaw amendments before being forwarded to public hearing. The Commission was disbanded on February 20, 2017.

- History
- The Board of Works was established circa 1895 in order to provide infrastructure to the rapidly growing population of Burnaby. During 1926 and 1927, the committee was referred to as the Board of Works, Transportation and Industries. Prior to 1926, there was a separate committee called Transportation and Industries which was responsible for this portfolio. In 1928, new committees were formed and the duties associated with transportation and industry was given to the Transportation and Telephone Committee and a Health, Hall and Grounds, Fire and Industries Committee, respectively. From 1933 to 1942, no Board of Works was appointed as the Provincial Commissioner governed Burnaby. When the Board was re-appointed in 1943, it became known as the Board of Works and Waterworks. In 1945, waterworks became a separate committee known as Waterworks, Health and Sanitation. In 1954, the Board of Works reverted to its 1943 name Board of Works and Waterworks for one year. By 1955, Waterworks became a separate committee. The Board of Works disbanded circa 1959.

The Committee was responsible for organizing public and staff input regarding the boundaries of the buffer zone, road patterns, and trail routing, landscaping, and ensuring a positive relationship with the adjoining neighbourhood. - Subseries consists of committee records for the Court of Revision including assessment rolls, business taxes, local improvements, and lists of electors.
- History
- The Court of Revision was established in 1989. The Court of Revision had the authority to revise the voters' list, the real property assessment roll, the business tax roll, and local improvement proposals, as determined by provincial statutes. It was also responsible for considering any complaints regarding assessment rolls and imposing parcel taxes. A Court of Revision was scheduled each year to provide an opportunity for property owners to appeal Local Area Services and Sewer Parcel taxes that were being charged for the first time. The assessments confirmed by the Court of Revision were the basis for the preparation of Local Area Services and Sewer Assessment tax rolls. In 2015, the Court of Revision became known as the Parcel Tax Roll Review Panel.

- The Election Procedures Committee was established on September 8, 1969. This committee advised Council on election procedures and best practices including the establishment of registration booths, voting machines, civic party affiliations on ballots, terms of office for Council Members, election signs, and other considerations. The Election Procedures Committee disbanded in 1978.

- History
- The Family Court and Youth Justice Committee was established in 1985. The Committee’s name was changed from the previous Family Court Committee (also referred to as Justice Council / Family Court Committee). On January 13, 2003 the Family Court and Youth Justice Committee disbanded due to the recent closure of the Burnaby Family and Youth Court. Any matters relating to family court and/or youth justice were turned over to the Community Policing Committee.
