- File consists of a scrapbook with a handpainted wood cover titled "50th Anniversary / G.G.C". The scrapbook documents events and ceremonies of the 4th Guide Company with the first half of the scrapbook containing photographs and documents regarding the 50th Anniversary of Girl Guides which was celebrated at St. Nicholas Church in 1960 while the second half documents earlier events from 1926, as well as other events in the 1960s such as; "Year of the Golden Jubilee", a parade in North Burnaby as well as Thinking Day 1976-1978, banquets, a disco contest, camping on Hollyburn mountain and a visit to Victoria in 1979. On November 3rd, 1926 the company was registered as the 5th Burnaby Guide company, in 1951 the number was changed to the 4th Vancouver Guide Company and in 1956 the number was changed to the 4th Burnaby Company.

- File consists of a ninety-three page scrapbook containing photographs, original artwork, newspaper clippings and memorabilia for the 51st Burnaby Brownie Pack, C.W.L.; 1967 - 1975. The title page "51st Burnaby Pack / C.W.L. / 1967 - 1975" of the scrapbook includes a pen and coloured pencil illustration with an owl on a toadstool surrounded by sprites, elves and fairies. Special events are documented with photographs, newspaper clippings, newsletters, collages, illustrations and a variety of ephemera pertaining to: Enrolment Ceremonies; various donations of handicrafts; service projects; Dedication Ceremonies of the International Peace Arch; camping; Brownie and Guide Revels at James Cowan Centre, Burnaby and Queen's Park, New Westminster; Jubilee Poetry Contest for Eastburn District; Ceremony for Mrs. Clysdale; Baden Powell Day; and winning Cookie sale posters. The 51st Brownie Pack was opened on September 23, 1967 with one Brownie and 18 tweenies. Mrs. Jeanne Schneider was acting Tawny Owl and Mrs. Terry Parkin acting Brown Owl. The 51st Brownie Pack was part of the Eastburn District, Imperial Division and regular meetings were held at Our Lady of Mercy School auditorium.

- File consists of photographs, an illustration, ephemera and histories about Burnaby Guiding Camps including Burnaby Chalet on Cypress Mountain, Galalina Camp at Camp Olave near Sechelt B.C., Burnaby Guide Camp at Wilson Creek and a few postcards of Camp Tsoona, Rosedale B.C. A collection of written material provides historical background regarding the two storey cabin on Hollyburn Mountain. The cabin was purchased by Burnaby Girl Guides in 1964 and appropriately named Burnaby Chalet. A Chalet Committee was formed with representatives from each Division appointing a Chalet Manageress to handle reservations. This typical ski cabin can accomodate up to 40 people. The file also includes a "Campsite Log Book" for the Hollyburn Chalet with handwritten notes from 1981 and 1982, an embroidered triangular shaped badge "Burnaby Royal / Girl Guides / Hollyburn Chalet" and a dedication ceremony program for "Burnaby Guide Camp / June 8, 1958" (Wilson Creek).

In the recording, narrator "John Stable" pontificates about his role as the guard for history at Burnaby Village and shares historical information about Burnaby, heritage buildings, the Interurban tram, roads, transporation and how Burnaby transformed over time. - File consists of images of a scrapbook that was created by Vera Armstrong during her involvement with the Burnaby Girl Guides. The scrapbook is composed mostly of photographs along with a few newspaper clippings, correspondence and ephemera about Guiding and camps. Both originals and copies of thank you letters from various organizations regarding donations are included. Much of the photograph collection is described as outings and events such as; hiking on Burnaby Mountain, visiting a sheep farm in Ladner, Stanley Park, Wilson Creek and camps with various themes, a Powell Church service, a Winter Camp and a visit to the Parthenon in West Vancouver (built by resident Nick Kogo in the 1960s and demolished or moved sometime in the 1990s).

John (Jack) Bancroft Waplington and Sarah Alice Cogswell Waplington (nee Nickerson) were the owners of the house and property located at 3813 Deer Lake Avenue from 1925 to 1946. Ray and Frances Louise Fleming (nee Waplington) owned the home from 1947 to 1958. In 1959 the Burnaby Municipality purchased the Fleming property at this location and rented it out for several years prior to it's demolition around 1970 to make way for Burnaby Heritage Village.
