- Object History
- Note from donor: Grace Young (married name Dawkins) was patrol leader for the 1st Vancouver Girl Guide Co. from Christ Church Cathedral. Phyllis Mortimer was her second. Phyllis Mortimer later joint the Vancouver Police Department, where she served with Graces' husband, Albert Clayton Dawkins. Grace and Albert married in 1936 at St. Nicholas Church in Burnaby. Grace was the person who suggested the name Burnaby Royal Area when the Girl Guides were looking for a new name for that area.

- tie or scarf, Girl Guides; grey and red cotton necktie or scarf; would be worn folded up and knotted at neck front and around back; metal girl guide Enrolment pin missing should be pinned to the front.
- Object History
- Salvation Army Guide uniform dress belonging to Virginia Blake, early 1960s. From the 6th Vancouver Salvation Army Guides on Hastings Street. Salvation Army was affiliated with Girl Guides (1937) of Canada until 1998. Worn with brown leather belt, beret, folded triangular company tie. The three white stripes on the right breast pocket indicate that wearer was a company leader. The more stripes you had, the higher your rank. A single white stripe, sewn down the center of the pocket, would have indicated that she was a patrol seconder. Two stripes would indicate that she was a patrol leader. White adhesive tape was used so that the guider didn’t have to unstitch and re-sew the stripes as they gained rank.

- File consists of images and selected contents from a scrapbook with 38 double sided pages containing mostly photographs with some newspaper clippings, written material and emphemera including a page of badges and ribbons which reads "Enrolment & Membership Card of / Joan Bailey 1926 / 1st Burnaby" and an embroidered alphabet of the Morse Code. The third page of the scrapbook includes a four page chronology titled "History of Guiding - Burnaby / 1913 - 1960" compiled by Mrs. Dolly Weber, Mrs. J. Heaps, Miss Eileen Periton, Mrs. J. Albertson and D. Fowler. The scrapbook also includes an original letter and post-script from Lady Olave Baden-Powell to Mrs. Fowler dated November 5, 1961; a typewritten copy of: "TSOONA" / PROVINCIAL GUIDE CAMPSITE - ROSEDALE B.C." and a three page typewritten copy of "THE CAMPFIRE / Volume 1, No. 4 _ November 1935 _ Vancouver, B.C.". - camp blanket or poncho; blue fleece “camp” poncho (single piece of cloth with neck hole cut out), hand-done blanket stitching around edges in light blue wool; covered in camp & travel related Guiding patches from the 1970’s & 1980’s (not all are sewn on, some are just pinned) and lapel pins.

- Camp blanket that was worn at camp and belonged to Kay Thomas, a longtime Guider from South Burnaby and one of the founding members of the Burnaby Royal Trefoil Guild.
