- Plaque. Badge shaped, made of ply-wooden, the background is painted yellow/tan and the lettering is black.
- Object History
- The plaque commemorates the history of the British Columbia Electric Railway in Burnaby, and the preservation of tram #1223 by the Burnaby Historical Society in 1958. Interurban tram No. 1223 has been restored by the joint efforts of the Friends of 1223 and Burnaby Village Museum. In March 2007 the tram was officially returned to Burnaby Village Museum and is currently on display, in a replica of a Tram Car Barn, at the Museum.

Wood backed plaque with cardboard notice from the British Columbia Electric Railway Company advising passengers to stand in a position that does not interfere with the Operator's vision while the vehicle was in motion. The notice also requests that the passengers refrain from unnecessary conversation with the Operator while the vehicle is in motion. The notice is attached to the wood with four tacks. The wood backing is 23.5cm x 18.5cm and the cardboard is 20cm x 15cm.

- Wooden frame around two rectangular shaped windows with a wooden separation bar. The frame and windows are both dark (brown/black). The wooden frame appears to be composed of mahogony. The windows are composed of a glass-like material yet do not appear to be ordinary glass. One side of the windows has a scallop shell pattern and the other side is plain. Two holes are drilled through the edges of the frame at the midpoint. Length: 114 cm Width: 25 cm Thickness: 2.1 cm

- Lapel pin, button type, round. White ground with blue border and blue "SUBSCRIBER" at top, "1918 / VICTORY LOAN" at bottom. Red-bordered flag is at centre of image, flying from pole, rope visible. Five blue diagonal stripes are at upper left of flag, blue-bordered shield is at lower right, divided into three columns by thin blue lines. Shield also has horizontal red and yellow marks. Flag is shaded and edges curved to suggest movement. "TRADE MARK REG." in white in blue border at bottom. Pin front is formed over a metal back and held by pressure. Spring clasp back doesn't lock closed as pin extends .6 cm beyond edge of button and there is no clasp. Reverse of pin is silver-coloured metal with stamping, "B CO / UNION / -H N Y" ?, symbols ? in circle. Metal of back is tarnished, white on front is yellowing. Image is poorly stamped, making border wider at right and colours in shield are blurred and extend outside its border.

It was the first post office at 'Burnaby Lake' and the site of the kindergarten school of Miss Harriet Woodward. It later became the United Church. / The open field in the distance above the horse's head and people in the field is the field in front of the 'Manor House' which was built by Mr. Bateman in the 1920's. To the right of and beyond the white house partly hidden by the trees can be seen some of the buildings associated with the Hill farm on Deer Lake Ave. which by the date (1909) of this photo had been sold. The distant tall trees (center) stand on the site of the Municipal Buildings (DesBirsays Woods)." - Photograph of a farmer driving a team of two horses mowing hay in a field. The photograph bears the caption "Mowing at Gaines' farm" and is accompanied by a notation in the album indicating that the field was across Douglas Road from Brookfield, the home of Claude Hill. This property belonged to Claude's brother Bernard Hill and was later known as 4990 Canada Way. The man is unidentified. In the background to the west can be seen Burnaby Lake and to the left the Pole Line Road (later Sperling Avenue) and to the right, Douglas Road and an unidentified house. This is the current location of the Kensington Avenue freeway interchange.
