Storage box. Wooden box with slanting top, hinged to open upwards. Lid closes with a clasp. Box is painted black on the outside and is unfinished on the inside and bottom. The box is made from 3/4 inch thick boards. There are two rings at the back edge of the top.
Object History
Collected by Raymond Menah when the Central Park British Columbia Electric Railway Interurban Tram line was shut down in late 1950's. It appears that the box was designed to hang on a wall.

Ceramic light socket, ribbed glass shade for the bulb and fixture for hanging; glass shade is held in a metal frame open at the top around the socket; takes a bulb with a 1.5 inch base. The bottom part of the metal frame has thumb nuts to allow for removing the shade.

Collected by Raymond Menah when the Central Park British Columbia Electric Railway Interurban Tram line was shut down in late 1950's. Station light used on the B.C.E.R. Interurban Tram line at Central Park.

Lapel pin, with pin back, is made of stamped brass and gold plated. The pin is shaped like a maple leaf with a ribbon across the centre. There is also a plant rising vertically across the centre of the maple leaf. The maple leaf is enamelled green with the ribbon in red. The plant is yellow. There is a small logo of crossed baseball bats in the lower left corner of the pin. The ribbon has "South Burnaby" on it and "Men's Club" appears on the leaf. "S.B.M.C. Baseball Tournament", surrounds the logo. The pin was issued by the South Burnaby Men's Club for a baseball tournament they sponsored.

This Tudhope Everitt 30 automobile has been fully restored in the past. The open, touring body is blue with white trim. The head lamps are brass are gas flame lights. The gas generator is mounted on the right running board. There are two carriage style lamps mounted on the dash to supplement the headlights. The windshield is braced by rods running from the front fenders. The top is fabric and folds at the back when it is down. The wheels are wood spoked with steel rims. The steering wheel is mounted on the right hand side of the vehicle. The engine has four cylinders.

Donor's family is second to own this car. Used in North Vancouver area. 1911 Tudehope Everitt Touring Car Manufactured by The Tudhope Motor Co., Orillia, Ontario from parts supplied by Metzger Motor Co., Detroit, Michigan, U.S. A.

Description
Men's bicycle with a heavy duty delivery basket mounted to the front handle bars and a heavy duty carrier mounted over the rear wheel. There are fenders on the front and rear wheels. There is a flip up bike stand mounted at the back. It is hinged at the rear hub and flips up to the carrier when not in use or flips down and raises the rear wheel when supporting the bicycle. There is an electric headlight mounted on the centre of the handle bars. The generator is mounted under the basket on the left side of the front forks. it runs against the front wheel to generate the current. A small red light is wired into the system to give a rear light. It is mounted on the left side of the rear frame. There is a red reflector mounted at the very back of the rear fender. The original colour is black with silver stripping and trim. The handle bars and seat post are originally chrome plated but have been painted silver. The chrome is flaking due to rust. There is a bell on the right handle bar. There are red rubber (plastic) hand grips on the ends of the handle bars. The right hand grip has the rear end broken off. A bike padlock is locked around the main post. The bicycle seat is sprung. The leather finish is cracking and flaking. There are no maker's marks on the seat.

Used by M. Thomson when growing up in Kerrisdale area of Vancouver.

The background of the decal is a quarterred mapleleaf, quarters alternating green and gold. "NEW & USED / Bicycles & Lawnmowers / Boulevard Cycles / 537_ W. Boulevard / Kerrisdale / Bicycles Repaired / Lawnmowers Sharpened", printed on a decal under the seat on the main frame post. The decal is a dark green oval with a red band through the middle.

Employee badge, "B.C.E.RY.CO. / 3154 / TRANSIT PERSONNEL". Raised oval shape with a flat back. Plastic or similar material. Obverse is yellow with black lettering, reverse is finished with a silvery plating. There is a punched hole on the left side of the badge. Badge is dirty and yellow is faded. The obverse is split from the hole on the left towards the middle of the bottom edge. Reverse is coroded.

Conductor's uniform jacket button, made of brass. Secured by a loop at the back sewn to jacket. "B.C.E.R." embossed on obverse of button."C. A. BROPHY / AURORA / ILL." stamped on back of button. Button is tarnished and has remains of polish in recessed areas. Button is from the uniform of Norman Thomas Carson, BCER conductor on interurban 1223.

Description
Black metal train signal used on the interurban trams.The lamp has red lenses that face 90 degrees to the line of travel and a single clear lens that faces down the track. The lens opening on the fourth side of the lamp is covered with a flat plate. There is a mounting bracket on this side of the lamp. The clear lens is on a verticaly sliding panel that gives access to the inside of the lamp. Originally this lamp may have had a kerosene lamp for a light source but this lamp has had an electric light bulb mounted inside. The modern power cord is aproximately 12 feet long with a double prong plug. "B C E R" is stamped in the body of the lamp under the clear lens.

The artifact belonged donor's father when he worked for the BCER.
