- Regimental suitcase from RCAF during the Second World War. The lid of the case has white text painted on it "VICTORIA / R197821 / MARK T.C. / CANADA / RCAF AFM". The case has a leather handle and two metal locking clasps on the top. The inside of the case is lined with blue fabric and has two small pockets at the back.
- Object History
- Thomas "Tom" Charles Mark was born in 1923 and grew up in New Westminster where his father operated a Shell gas station at 402 6th St. He went to High School at Oak Bay in Victoria. Mr. Mark joined the Canadian Air Force in World War Two and was a Corpral - Air Frame Mechanic. He met his wife Joan Patricia (Dunne) Mark (1924-1987) in England and married her in 1945 before they returned to Canada. Their son was born in 1947. Mark was an active community volunteer and awarded the Kushiro Cup as Citizen of the Year in 1995.

- toolbox; hand-made toolbox with pull-out interior drawer; wood with 3/4 fold-down lid, metal carry handle and lock hasp; steel hinges and two metal corners at top of box; white and black paint; unpainted wood interior drawer with small pull handle.
- Object History
- This tool box was made by donor's father David, who worked as a machinest at Heaps Engineering in New Westminster. David was born in Scotland in 1882 and immigrated to Canada. He lived in Spruce Street and Telford Street in Burnaby. His children atteneded Kingsway West Elementary School, South Burnaby and King Edward High School.
