B.C. Electric Railway Co - Ticket -- [1951]. Ticket for one continuous ride on Interurban Lines between Vancouver and New Westminster on the British Columbia Electric Railway Company. The ticket is stamped with "0574-". The ticket is pink coloured with an orange pattern as a background. The ticket has been hole punched twice. There is a partial blue stamp on the back side of the ticket. The stamp would read "B. C. E. RLY/ CO., LTD./ FEB 22 1951/ NEW WESTMINSTER." The ticket measures 5.7cm x 3cm.

B.C. Electric Railway - Ticket -- [1928]. Ticket good for one fare on the North Vancouver Street Cars operated by British Columbia Electric Railway Company. The ticket is buff coloured with a red background. The ticket is stamped with "55748". On the reverse side of the ticket it states that the transfer may be issued between North Vancouver Street Car Lines and Street Car Lines within Vancouver prior to January 1st 1929. The ticket measures 4.1cm x 2.2cm.

The ticket also has space for 'EMERGENCY' and 'CHILD' punches. On the reverse side is an advertisement for the Tram News Stands. There is an illustration of wide-eyed policeman waving and shivering.

B.C. Electric Railway Ticket - Transfer. Partial transfer for the B.C. Electric Railway for the Interurban lines. The transfer has darkened in colour from what could have been buff to a dark brown. There are holes in the transfer, two from a ticket punch and others from deterioration. The front of the transfer details the trip destination and the back outlines the terms and conditions of the ticket. The ticket is 82mm x 48mm.

Found in Vorce tram station in 1997.

The receipt has a light blue background with a photograph of a Vancouver park and a cut out image of Conductor Teddy Lyons head. The receipt is number 19233. The bottom part of the ticket has been punched on August 14th at 11 a.m. The back side gives suggestions on sightseeing day trips on Street Cars and Interurban Trains within Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

Ration Book was created by the Government of Canada in the 1940s during World War II. The ration book was used by donor during the Second World War. Even though the ration book states that the donor was living in New Westminster, the address was actually located in Burnaby.

Toll Bridge Tickets - Tickets. Four connected tickets for crossing the Second Narrows Bridge. The tickets are green with a small drawing of the bridge on them. On the top of each ticket is "00191" The tickets were produced by the Vancouver Harbour Commissioners.
Object History
From Denby Bros. Shoe Store at 163 West Pender in Vancouver. Stafford Ague Denby (1882-1957) started peddling shoe findings in 1918 around Vancouver to repair shops around town from the back of an old Ford. Two of his brothers, William Albert (1873-1947) and Melvin Stanley (1879-1953) joined him in 1919 to form Denby Bros & Co. Ltd Leather and Shoe Findings at 163 West Pender. William Gordon Pope started helping out in the shoe store at the age of 10. He eventually ran the store with his cousin, Pat Denby (son of William A. Denby) starting in the 1950s. The store closed in 1974.
