Also included are newsclippings regarding Robert Burnaby and the "Bygones of Burnaby" book, a programme of the Robert Burnaby Commemorative Dinner, a photocopy of "The Argus" (Burnaby South High School's newspaper) from 1938, a programme from Madys Pridmore Brown's Variety Programme, "The Buzzer" Volume 40 Issue 16 advertising Vancouver street cars, New Vista Society certificate addressed to Hazel Simnett, an envelope of Fenwick Lansdowne bird prints from 1957 and a print of the Royal Family found in a cardboard envelope postmarked 1972.

The second letter dated March 17, 1995 is addressed to Hazel Simnett and approves her reappointment to the Advisory Planning Commission. The booklet is of the Burnaby Procedure Bylaw 1971 (bylaw number 6023 to regulate the proceedings of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the District of Burnaby). The map is a street map of the Burnaby Planning & Building Department from 1992. The second letter is typewritten by Hazel Simnett to Mayor W. Copeland in 1996 regarding her resignation from the Advisory Planning Commission. The pin reads: "Burnaby Advisory Planning Commission". The business card is of Donald G. Stenson, Director Planning and Building of the Burnaby Planning and Building Department.

Had a delicious fillet dinner at a fine restaurant and tomorrow are going to some of the beautiful places around Vancouver. Expect to go to Victoria Wednesday and stay at least a week - maybe two - depends on how we like it. How are your children? Are they home? Remember us to them. Love, Edith." The postcard is dated "7-24-49," postmarked Vancouver, July 26, 5 PM, 1949, and mailed with three one cent stamps to Mrs. Arthur Klein in Los Angeles, California.

She was the first woman to achieve the rank of colonel in the Canadian army.
