- Photograph of scaffolding set up for the manufacture of submarines at the submarine works yard at Barnet. Numerous labourers and two industrial buildings can be seen in the background. During World War One, the Royal Russian Navy contracted with a Seattle-based company to build submarines for Russia, but American neutrality in the war prevented the subs from being built in the United States.
