- Bodice and skirt, c.1900. Brown cotton, black lace trim. High collar, low curved yoke, pouter pigeon front. Skirt has two bands and lace at the bottom, flounced in back. The high stand collar is covered in black lace, which extends in a wide curved yoke on the bodice. Beneath that there is a flounced band that splits at centre front and back, with a lace trimmed bow at centre front. The main bodice section has gathering at the centre front beneath the yoke and along the bottom, creating a puffed pouter pigeon front as the bottom front dips down as well. The back lies flat with pin tucks that fan out from the centre bottom. The sleeves have pin tucks coming from the shoulder on the outside edge, that end at the forearms. They are gathered to the cuffs as bishop sleeves. The lace trimmed cuffs have placket openings, and close with a hook and eye. The skirt has five gores extending from a small waistband, with two darts for shaping. At calf level, there is a band of black lace trim over two tiers of the skirt fabric, the bottom of which extends to the hem. They are flounced at the centre back. Under the bottom of the hem there is a band of black braided cord with a frayed bottom that protects and adds shape to the hem. Inside, the skirt is lined with black cotton. It closes with hooks and eyes at the centre back. The bodice is lined with brown cotton, and has nine bones. The lining closes separately with hooks and eyes at the centre front, and the main fabric of the bodice closes with hooks and eyes at the left seam and shoulder, and centre back of the collar.

- This artifact was found during construction of replacement foundations of Estate Cottage building at Fairacres (now Burnaby Art Gallery). It was found in 1998 during the restoration project.

English translation adjusted to Spanish Jasmine/Jasminum grandiflorum. The flower grows in southern part of China. In traditional Chinese medicine, the flower is used to dissipate stasis, stop bleeding, and relieve pain for traumatic injury, fracture, traumatic bleeding, sores, furuncle.

- Word for word translation is as follows; flower; flag; ginseng. This has been adjusted for English comprehension to "American ginseng". This is a different herb from (Chinese) ginseng. The root of the perennial herbaceous plant Panax quinquefolium L. of the family Araliaceae. Mainly produced in U. S. A. and Canada. Cultivated in Beijing city, Jiling and Liaoning provinces in China also. American Ginseng to be more yin – meaning it is used to reduce 'heat' in the body. In comparison, Asian Ginseng is thought to be more yang – meaning it is used to raise 'heat' in the body. Slightly fragrant, bitter and slightly sweet in flavor. Best quality: Even root, firm, tense thin lines on cover, white-yellow cross section, delicate fragrance, strong in flavor. For lung, heart, kidney and spleen meridians. Tonify qi, nourish yin, clear heat and promote the generation of body fluid.

- Yellow rectangular paper label with two Chinese characters. Label has some damage on left top and bottom and small tear near the bottom right. Text literally translates to English as: " land ground" and "man, fourth". This has been adjusted for English comprehension to: "Violet". Uses: The herb has light scent with bitter taste. It helps to clear the toxin away from the body. It has been used to treat snakebite.

- Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 3, "Champion." 3. "Hunter's Pride" style, roached mane jumper, upright neck, head forward, mouth open, ears back. Colour: Brown black. Trappings: Red brown stippled saddle, bronze trim. English Setter dog's head on back of the cantle. Hare and rifle hanging under the side edge of saddle. Red and white blankets with amethyst cabochons and emerald facetted jewels and gold trim and fringe. Gold bridle with emerald jewel in concho. Neck collar is red with gold trim set with amber, emerald and clear jewels. Red breast collar with stylized gold flowers and trim, emerald jewels and red-gold fringe. Clear jewel in bronze breast plate.

- Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 5, "Phar Lap." "Cowboy" style stretched out jumper. Forward neck and head, ears back, mouth open. Colour: This horse is painted like the original Australian race horse, "Pharlap," from the 1930's. Red chestnut, white socks on back legs, white star on forehead. Trappings: - Buckskin or "new leather," toned stippled saddle and fender, with dark brown trim. Coiled lariat hanging from front of saddle, tri-colour English Setter dog head on back of cantle. Revolver hanging from back of saddle on horse's hip. Two saddle blankets in shades of muted turquoise and sea-green, with gold trim and white fringes. Clear and peridot (light green) jewels on blanket, amethyst cabochon jewels on saddle fender. Clear diamond-shaped jewel in sea-green breast collar, banded in gold, with emerald green jewel in gold breast plate. White brown and bluish feathers on shoulder. - Brown fur coat in a swing coat style that is fitted at the shoulder and gently widen down the length of the coat. The coat is three quarter length with slightly belled sleeves. The coat has a shawl collar, two exterior slit pockets, and three loop closure buttons covered in the same fur.
- The inside of the coat has a grey and brown plaid lining with subtle gold accents. There is an interior pocket decorated with an embroidered "A / P" in gold thread.

- Object was a fixture used in the Jubilee Dry Goods store at 6763 Jubilee Avenue. Jubilee Dry Goods was owned by the Ernest and Jean Pitman family. McGregor Socks is a Canadian hosiery brand founded in 1928. The cushioned sole line of "Happy Foot" socks was introduced in the late 1930's.

- Dress, c.1925-1929. Brown velvet. Straight shape, dropped waist, long chiffon sleeves, knee length skirt, bronze coloured metal beads. A geometric beaded pattern encircles the wide round neckline. The sleeves, attached with a corded seam, are brown chiffon. They flare out into a bishop sleeve, gathered to a velvet cuff with diagonal strips of velvet decorating the forearm. The skirt attaches at a dropped waist with a corded seam. It is sewn in two panels, and slightly gathered. On the skirt there are two rings of a beaded design: lines of long beads interrupted by a large beaded butterfly with clear plastic purple beads on the antennas. The front and back both have a butterfly on the top right and bottom left. The hem is held up on the inside with the bottom line of beading.
