Description
B.C.E.R. tram number roll mounted within a steel metal frame which is painted green inside and on the sides and black on the front. Two canvas rollers mounted side by side with white painted numbers. Each roller is mounted to the metal stand with two cylindrical pins with finger wheels at the top. There are four wheels at the top for changing the number display. The metal frame has two flanges at the bottom with holes for mounting on the top front of a streetcar.
Object History
Item used on the PCC streetcars. These reference numbers followed the trains as they took the train out of the barn for the day, in the case of an accident or other tracking reason.
