According to a note prepared by Kathleen and Eileen Mather, the house otherwise known as "Altnadene" was built in 1911-1912 for Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Mathers of New Westminster by architect F.W. Macey who lived on Douglas Road. The house was occupied by the family from late-1912 until mid-1935. The original photographs have been taken by professional photographers.
