- Photograph of the chapel of the Order of St. Benedict at the Ceperley Mansion when they purchased and occupied the mansion from 1939 to 1954. They converted the drawing room into a chapel, placing the altar in front of the fireplace. A platform with a cross on a table. The letters "LOCUS ISTE SANCTUS EST" are inscribed on the wall above the cross. There is a picture of baby Jesus held by the Virgin Mary on one side of the platform, and a Saint holding a baby on the other.

- Photograph of a large tree standing near the shore of Deer Lake. In the background, the estate built by Henry and Grace Ceperley, known as "Fairacres" can be seen. Also visible is the estate's water tower. The Ceperley's purchased the land to build Fairacres in 1909 and it quickly became the most opulent residences in all of Burnaby. In 1917, Grace died and and by 1922, her husband had decided to sell the home to a former Vancouver Mayor, Frederick Buscombe. In 1939, the Benedictines purchased the property and established a priory at the estate. A large gymnasium was added which was converted into the James Cowan Theatre when the City of Burnaby acquired the land. The old mansion was renovated and became the Burnaby Art Gallery.

- Photograph looking towards the Pole Line Road (later Sperling Avenue) from the farm belonging to Claude Hill and known as Broadview on Buckingham Avenue. This property formerly belonged to Malcolm Nicholson. A fence can be seen dividing the garden from the field and two men are standing alongside with a horse and carriage nearby. Four children are walking in the field - from left to right, Kitty Hill, Ed Clayton, Gerry Hill and Florence Hart . A house can be seen in the background, this is most likely the cottage belonging to Harriet Woodward which served as the first school and post office at Burnaby Lake. To the right of the Woodward house can be seen the roof of the Claude Hill house known as Brookfield which was at 6501 Deer Lake Avenue and above that is a house on a hill which was the George Clayton home (on what later became the Henry and Grace Ceperley Fairacres estate at 6344 Deer Lake Avenue).
