- Photograph of British Columbia Institute of Technology student watching George Scott picketing in protest to the jump in food and supply prices at the school cafeteria and bookstore. Instead of the 10% increase in prices that the school's board of governors had set (which had the support of student council) prices jumped by as much as 80%, which meant that the "main meal" price climbed from $1.10 to $1.85.
