- Dress, c.1884. Beige silk taffeta and ivory silk floral brocade, mauve trim. Bodice with low square neck, half length sleeves with ruffle cuffs. Skirt with train, drapery around hips, ruffles down front. Trousseau for wedding. The bodice is made of beige taffeta, lined with white silk twill sewn together with the main fabric. It has a low square neckline. Its half length sleeves are attached at the armscye with a corded seam, and at the cuff they have a large pleated ruffle in mauve silk taffeta lined with the same fabric as the skirt. Besides this, there is no decoration on the bodice (it is noted in the accession file that the trim is missing from the bodice). Shaping comes from two darts on either side front and six panels in the back. There is boning in each dart and one in each side seam. The bodice extends to the hips, cinching in at the waist. At the centre back of the waist there is a white silk ribbon the extends to the left, and may have also been on the right as well originally. It closes at centre front with hooks and eyes. The skirt is made of ivory brocade with a sparse pattern of small pink floral bouquets. It has a grosgrain waistband that closes with two hooks and eyes at centre back. The opening in the skirt below does not have any closures. There are six gores, all sewn together with the cotton voile lining except for the centre front seam. At the top of the skirt there is a section of drapery (also lined in cotton voile) that circles around the hips to the side backs. It is ruched at centre front in three vertical lines. Under the drapery on the right side, there is a pocket with a cotton twill bag inserted into the seam. The skirt is heavily pleated at the back, where there is also a long train. The front or the skirt, extending to the front two gores, has a thin band of mauve ribbon right under the top drapery. Regularly spaced down the front of the skirt there are two rows of mauve pleated ruffles, like those on the bodice cuffs. At the hem there is another pleated ruffle that runs its whole length, made of the main dress fabric. The bodice is entirely hand sewn. The straight seams on the skirt are sewn with a chain stitch machine, and the rest is done by hand. The seams are finished with whip-stitching where the selvedge is not used.

- Object History
- P Burns and Company was a successful western Canada industrial and retail company. Patrick Burns was born in Ontario, and spent his early years driving cattle and ranching in Winnipeg. The expansion of the railway drew him further west and in 1890 he established an abbatoir in Calgary and further expanded into BC in 1895. The P.Burns and Company Butcher Shop still exists today as a heritage site in Port Moody. (From City of Port Moody website; more information available.)

- Medal, silver-coloured; Queen Victoria Jubilee 1897; front -design of Queen Victoria showing head, shoulders and two laurel sprigs; centre - coat-of-arms, surrounded by 5 circles, each with symbol at centre; hangs from decorative brass bar with blue grosgrain ribbon connecting it to similar bar at top; partial fastener on back; ribbon is hand-sewn on to the brass bars.

- Part of a donation pertaining to Frederick Homer Cassels, a WWI Veterinary service army veteran.
- Frederick Homer Cassels was born June 25th 1870 or 1872 in Paisley, Ontario. He moved to BC in 1914 and settled in Vancouver. Cassels was a veterinary surgeon in the 103rd Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I.
- Prior to that, Cassels worked in Washington State. He married Emily Frances McMullen in England in 1919. They came back to Canada and settled in Burnaby the same year.
- He later worked as a marble worker, sticker and polisher at Continental Marble Works until 1932. The family settled in Burnaby's "Skunk Hollow" area, an area off Boundary Road at 13th Avenue and Clydesdale. Their children attended Schou St. School.
- He passed away July 31 1948.

- photograph album; Photo album designed to hold carte de visite and tin type images. The covers are hard with embossed leather on the outside. There is a ring hinged to the back cover designed to act as a closure but the front cover attachment is missing. First image in album has been identified as baby Edna C.A. Bateman Corner. "Edna" is handwritten on the front of the carte. "Irwin / PHOTOGRAPHER / ROSSER AVE. - Brandon" is stamped on the bottom of the carte in gold. The other images are unidentified but the studios are located in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba; Flesherton, Ontario; and Detroit, Michigan.

- Large plastic sign with internal backlighting for advertising. The sign has two sections for ad inserts and one section for price display.
- The price display is currently set up advertising the price of packs and cartons of cigarettes
- The first bank of prices are 3 digit with small windows that reveal the number on a roller behind. The second bank of prices are 4 digits.
- The sign was made by CDA Industries in Scarborough, Ontario and is stamped with "JULY 1986"
- There are three labels at the top of the sign including information about how to replace the lamps or reinsert unrolled numbers.
- There is a hole at the top of the sign for the electrical cord to come out.
- There are two white metal brackets attached to the ends of the sign and there is a rusted chain hanging from each bracket.
- The plastic at the bottom right corner on the back is broken and damaged.

- Wedding dress bodice, c.1906. Ivory china silk with glass beads. Long sleeves and small round neckline. Matches skirt HV982.20.2, also in AB106-S27-3E. Under the small high neckline, there is a yoke covered in tiny pin tucks. It is in an oval shape on the front bodice and triangular in the back, and it is edged with a pattern of white and clear beads. The bodice back is plain below this, but the front has two layers. On the first, under layer, there is a centre front closure with hooks and eyes. On the left, the yoke is edged in beading and the rest is plain. On the right, the yoke is not edged with beads; it also angles further down towards the centre front. Below the yoke, the lining fabric is half exposed (on the side furthest from centre). On the fabric-covered side, there is a small patch pocket. The second, top layer is made of the same ivory silk. It is attached at the right shoulder, armhole, and side seam. This panel lays flat at the bottom of the yoke, edged with beads. It attaches with a hook and eye at the lower left corner of the yoke, and the panel was originally tacked together in pleats on the left side. The bottom is edged in beading, and would have hung in a curved shape. Under the top panel, the bodice shape is produced with twelve bones on: one large back panel, small back panel on either side, and one front panel on either side. The sleeves are long yet small leg o' muttons, gathered at the sleeve cap and narrowing to the wrist. At the cuff, there is the same white and clear beading pattern. Among the right sleeve's beading there is a single blue bead, perhaps for the bride's 'something blue.'

- Worn by Anna Laura Gilbert when she married Walter Campbell Lauder in Ontario, July 1906. Donated by Annis M. Underwood, the second daughter of Anna. Annis was living in New Wesminster at the time of donation.
