- The print was created in the Heritage Village news and art printing shop for distribution to visitors on the opening day of the Heritage Village (Burnaby Village Museum) on November 19, 1971. The stories on the newspaper are of events that happened in the early 1900s, with a focus on local events. The Burnaby Centennial '71 Committee created Heritage Village as a commemorative project for the British Columbia Centennial. Richard Lott was hired as the first director for Heritage Village and Deirdre Lott was hired as the first curator.

- This plaque was created as a momento of the turn over of the Heritage Village by the Burnaby Centennial '71 committee to Mayor Robert W. Prittie on January 31. 1972. The plaque is shield shaped, made of oak wood with a square brass plate nailed to front and an antique door key, which has been plated in brass. There is a metal hanger nailed to the reverse.

BURNABY, B.C. PHONE 291-8525"; dated April 6, 1972; addressed to "Fellow-Members" of Century Park Museum Association; last page is a blank "CENTURY PARK MUSEUM ASSOCIATON / INFORMATION BLANK" form printed on yellow paper to be returned to Century Park Museum Association. The newsletter has been folded into four for mailing purposes. An additional page is addressed to members requesting donations of display items for the General Store. Return address stamp on back page reads "CENTURY PARK MUSEUM ASSOCIATION / operating / HERITAGE VILLAGE / 4900 Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby 2, B.C." and is addressed to: "Mr. A.T. Copan / 4667 Highlawn Drive / Burnaby 2, B.C." Newsletter provides updates regarding the Burnaby Centennial '71 Committee's project "Heritage Village" including the hiring of Mr. P.A. (Tony) Scott as permanent Executive Director of Heritage Village.
