The Corporation bought this mansion and its spacious grounds located on the north shore of Deer Lake. The building was restored and now operates as Burnaby's new Art Centre. The grounds were relandscaped and over 2000 rhododendrons, Burnaby's official flower, were planted to promote the numerous named varieties which can be grown in the lower mainland."
