There is a picture of baby Jesus held by the Virgin Mary on one side of the platform, and a Saint holding a baby on the other.

The smoke symbolizes prayers going up towards the heavens. The church, which will be built mostly by volunteer labour, is scheduled to be completed in 20 months. It will be the first Serbian Orthodox church in British Columbia."
