- Empty, square amber glass (brown) bottle with cork stopper. Some white powdery residue on the bottom of the bottle. Labeled front and back with commercial paper labels; black lettering on a white background. Front label indicates "100 / COMPRESSED / TABLETS / No. 231 / LITHIATED / ATOPHAN / (Schering's License / Reg. No. 65-15849 / 5 GRS. / Dose: - One to three tablets, \ followed by a copious draught / of water. / Charles E. Frosst & Co. / Montreal. Can." Charles E. Frosst & Co. is in script. Back label indicates that "After Oct. 1st., 1913, all tablets / containing Atophan will have the ad- / dition of a small quantitiy of cocoa, / which will change their color from / those previously offered."
