- First aid kit box, wooden, dovetailed corners; brass handle on hinged lid; red cross painted on front near bottom; two brass? hinged snap closures on front; on inside of lid is 1.5cm strip of leather held in place by screw nails 4cm apart; `707 081 352' is scratched into varnish on top of lid; on lid front in white letters with black and gold outlines, "MUST NOT BE OPENED EXCEPT IN CASE"; on box front is "OF EMERGENCY"; inside is unvarnished; out- side is scuffed, scratched, varnish worn in places

- Donor states that he obtained the kit in 1949 after it became obsolete at his work, the Shell Marine Gas Station in New Westminster.
