- The item is a bulk product stocked by a pharmacy. Up until the 1950s, pharmacists provided most prescription medications by creating compounds of bulk products that were given to customers as pills, salves, or tonics. Amber glass (brown) bottle with cork stopper; one-quarter full with brown liquid. Torn paper label indicating contents as "IRON CHLORIDE".
