Description: Part of the 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel. Carousel horse No. 7, "Vanessa." "Jumper" style, stretched out, neck arched, head tucked in, mouth slightly open, ears upright and facing back. Colour: Palomino. Trappings: Dark reddish brown stippled saddle and skirt, bordered in gold. Deep pink roses on back of cantle. Fuschia purple drape and hangings, gold trim and fringe. Two wild roses with amber jewel centres and green leaves forward of the drape. Rose-fuschia breast collar, banded with gold, amber facetted jewel in breast plate. Fuschia purple bridle with gold concho.

Object History: Carousel horse. Part of the C.W. Parker Carousel on display at the Burnaby Village Museum. Name: Named by Gary Santini for his granddaughter Vanessa Munro, born in Burnaby, with the hopes she spends many happy hours on her horse. Sponsors: Parklane Ventures Ltd.
