- Description
- Small bait casting fishing reel. The metal parts of the reel are chrome plated. The crank handle has a single crank knob and a counter weight to balance it. I has the mounting foot to attach to a fishing rod and is loaded with a heavy plastic fishing line.
The reels approximate diameter is 5.7 cm.

- Leather wallet to carry fishing flies, hooks and leaders. The light tan (pig skin ?) leather cover holds pockets at each cover and a variety of pages for holding flies, snelled hooks and leaders (25 pages in total). There are a five packages of various hooks and lures in the end pockets. There is an attached leather strap to hold the wallet closed.

- Dish made of glass. Dish is rectangular shape but shallow, the sides flare out slightly. The glass is cut out on the sides to create a design, and the edges are scalloped. The dish has several cracks in the glass.

- Tin. Commemorative, round, metal, tea tin. Body of tin is designed to look like a drum with rope and cord designs around upper and lower rim. Two photo portraits of Queen Elizabeth, alternating with two photo portraits of Prince Philip, around the body of the tin.

The QUEEN'S" "SILVER JUBILEE 1952-1977" Underside of the body of the tin is a lengthy label "THIS IS...", "HISTORY" "INSTRUCTIONS" "Blended...MURCHIE'S TEA & COFFEE...VANCOUVER", "LABEL IS REMOVABLE". Information about the Murchie's company, guarantees and instructions on how to make a cup of tea are included. Underside of lid is a crown with "1977" "THE QUEEN'S SILVER JUBILEE". This is also on the inside bottom of the body of the tin.

- A Childhood Safety Calendar from Helen's Children's Wear from 1966. The front page of the calendar has a airbrushed image of a small girl smiling with blue eyes. She has a headband with silver pom-poms. She is holding a doll with a red hat and braids.
The first two pages of the calendar are entitled "Children's Safety Diary.
Each month of the calendar has a different image of a child.
The back page has a reading entitled "Safety: Your Child's Most Important Lesson!"
- Object History
- Helen's Children's Wear was a popular and well known shop in Burnaby
- Helen's Children's Wear was located at 4142 Hastings Street. Owner Helen Arnold opened the store on East Hastings Street in 1948. She moved to the 4142 Hastings Street location in 1955, and added a landmark neon sign to the building in 1956. The sign featured a girl on a swing, and served as an important landmark in the neighbourhood. The store closed in 2007.
