- The item is a bulk product stocked by a pharmacy. Up until the 1950s, pharmacists provided most prescription medications by creating compounds of bulk products that were given to customers as pills, salves, or tonics. Rectangular amber glass (brown) battle with black plastic screw-top lid. Contains dried, stick-like material. Commercial paper label from Royal Drug Store indicating contents in type-written uppercase as "SARSAPARILLA ROOT".
