- Bottle of Sp. Amm. Arom. Clear glass bottle with ground, glass stopper, gold coloured commercial label, under glass. Bottle is 1/3 full of a clear liquid. Has a square "McDowell" label on the back of the bottle. The item is a bulk product stocked by a pharmacy. Up until the 1950s, pharmacists provided most prescription medications by creating compounds of bulk products that were given to customers as pills, salves, or tonics. Bottle has a cylindrical shape.
