The Environment Committee and Social Planning Committee were integrated into the Sustainable City Advisory Committee in 2017. The Environment Committee was struck again in January of 2020.

Concept designs were created by different designers and portfolio of collection was created by property master, Jimmy Chow. The portfolio was used as a communication tool for sharing prototypes and plans with Jimmy's team who worked with him on the film. The film was directed by Bryan Singer and was released in 2003. Some of the concept designs within the portfolio were created by assistant art director, Brenton Harron, signed "Harron" and illustrator Dean Sherriff , signed "Sheriff".

- The Traffic and Transportation Committee was established on November 20, 1989. The Committee was immediately divided in two, creating the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Traffic Safety Division) and the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Transportation and Transit Division). The Traffic and Transportation Committee (Traffic Safety Division) was concerned with matters of traffic safety including the installation of crosswalks, parking bans, traffic safety at playgrounds, and producing reports on the safety in Burnaby neighbourhoods and at schools. On January 13, 2003 these committees returned to their previously known names; the Traffic Safety Committee and Transportation Committee.

- The Family Court Committee was established in 1964. The Family Court Committee was mandated to examine the resources of the community for family and children’s work, in order to assist the officers and Judges of the Court when required. The Committee's name was changed from Family Court Committee to Family Court and Youth Justice Committee on April 9, 1985.

- History
- The Transportation Committee was established on February 13, 1978. From 1973 to 1977, this committee was known as the Transit Committee. It was expanded in 1978 to encompass the role of a Transportation Committee. From 1990 to 2002, the Transportation Committee was named the Traffic and Transportation Committee, also referred to as the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Transportation and Transit Division.) On January 13, 2003, the committee was once again known as the Transportation Committee. On February 20, 2017 the Transportation Committee was integrated with the Public Safety Committee.
