History: The Burnaby Centennial Committee was established June 5, 1989. The Committee was responsible for overseeing the celebration of Burnaby's centennial anniversary in 1992. This committee disbanded in 1993.

History: The Community Heritage Commission was established December of 1994. This committee was formerly known as the Heritage Advisory Committee. The Community Heritage Commission supports efforts to increase public awareness of and provide management for constructed and natural heritage in the City of Burnaby.

Scope and Content: Subseries consists of committee records for the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Traffic Safety Division) including agendas, minutes, correspondence, committee reports, and the Forest Grove Drive petition.

History: The Traffic and Transportation Committee was established on November 20, 1989. The Committee was immediately divided in two, creating the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Traffic Safety Division) and the Traffic and Transportation Committee (Transportation and Transit Division). The Traffic and Transportation Committee (Traffic Safety Division) was concerned with matters of traffic safety including the installation of crosswalks, parking bans, traffic safety at playgrounds, and producing reports on the safety in Burnaby neighbourhoods and at schools. On January 13, 2003 these committees returned to their previously known names; the Traffic Safety Committee and Transportation Committee.
