The rear of the shop acted as an unofficial post office for recent Chinese immgrants who needed a permanent mailing address. The notice was translated in English, the larger words translate to: "Our shop offers remittance service to Hong Kong. The process is faster than others no matter how much you are wiring. If the family of any overseas compatriots who are living in Hong Kong need money urgently, [we] can also speed up the remittance. Your patronage is very welcomed.". The smaller words translate to: "The valued customers have to take care of the remittance fee on your own. Connection to any city in the Canton province; fast and proper remittance."

The certificate was first issued on December 12, 1921 and includes certification stamps on the front along with a photograph of Quan Lip Lee. Certification stamps on the verso of the certificate were issued by Canadian and Chinese Immigration authorities between 1924 and 1949. Documents and photos within are related to Burnaby's first May Days including the first programme and May Queen photograph, the formation of the Riverway Park, PTA functions, members, Riverway West student photographs. The scrapbook was created by the 1960-1961 PTA members, notably: Mrs. Emily Eichler, Historian; Mrs. C.L. James, Assistant Historian; Mrs. Gordon Dowding, Photographer; and Mr. Rod Beaton, who designed the cover. The design on the wooden cover of the scrapbook was burned into the wood by Mrs. Eichler's son using a magnifying glass. The last page was added in 1967 or later.

- Jim Wolf talks about Love Farmhouse with Esther Stanley, daughter of Jesse and Martha Love. They discuss the property, and the furnishings, decoration and amenities of the house as she remembers them. Esther’s recollections were to be used as a resource for redecorating and refurnishing the house as it was in 1925 for its use as an exhibit at the Burnaby Village Museum. Esther’s daughters are also present at the interview.
