Item consists of a digitized copy of film titled “Burnaby Image Bank Collection / Volume 1 / 1992" produced by the Simon Fraser University Archives, and Archivist, Jim Ross in recognition of Burnaby’s Centennial. The film is a finding aid which consists of a collection of eighty nine photographs taken by the citizens of Burnaby during the course of the century and was designed for students and citizens wishing to explore the history of Burnaby. Copy negatives were created from original photographs and held by the Simon Fraser University Archives (now held with City of Burnaby Archives). Photographs in this video are indexed under the following headings “Communities / Neighbourhoods / Subjects / Names / Photographs". An introduction is provided by Simon Fraser University Archivist, Jim Ross.
History/Biography
The video was made available for public purchase and viewing on Video Home System (VHS) format. Burnaby schools and branches of the Burnaby Public Library received their own (VHS) copy for information and research purposes. Photographs from the Burnaby Image Bank Collection are now held by the City of Burnaby Archives.
