program; "A PAGEANT OF / GUIDING / VANCOUVER, B.C. / ARENA -- APRIL 27-1929"; buff limp paper cover with illustration of Girl Guides in uniform in front of globe; "D. Pitman" handwritten in blue ink on page one; contains advertisements for many Vancouver businesses.
Object History
Program for Girl Guide Pageant taking place in Vancouver in 1929. Program belonged to Dorothy Pitman who was a Girl Guide in the 1st Burnaby Company. She was known to be involved with guiding from 1919 to 1931. Textual records and photographs of the Pitman family, including one of Dorothy and her sister Gwen, are held by the City of Burnaby Archives. Dorothy and Gwen's parents, Ernest and Jean Pitman, owned McKay Dry Goods and Jubilee Dry Goods.

The Vancouver City Young Men's Christian Association - Receipt -- [1915]. Receipt issued to Thomas McNair from the Vancouver City YMCA for $8.00 for a one week men's camp. The receipt was issued July 22nd, 1915.
Object History
Receipt belonging to Thomas Seaborn McNair, who was born on May 15 1888 to Francis McNair and Elizabeth Taylor. He worked as an accountant and estate agent. He married Mary Vida McMillan in 1917. Thomas ran Edwards, McNair and Russell in Vancouver (presumably an accounting firm). Thomas McNair died in 1982.
