- Pin, vertical rectangle, grey metal with raised lettering and borders. At top, "B.C. SUMMER", then vertically arranged "GAMES" in wide letters in alternately positive and negative print, then "1997" at bottom in raised bar. "BURNABY" up left side, "VOLUNTEER" up right side, both perpendicular to other print. Back of pin is textured grey metal with post and butterfly clutch fastener. Post is set in round base with stop. Near edge of pin is "R" in circle, "ARTISS / REGINA / CANADA". Clutch is shiny silver metal with stamped "BALLOU REG'D / 130 YEARS".

- The B.C. Games were established in 1977, and the first summer games were held in 1978. Commemorative pin for the 1997 B.C. Summer Games held in Burnaby [for volunteers].

- Pendant, small brass ring with picture on each side and glass in front. Portrait of Queen Victoria as a young woman on one side and older on other side. Small loop for hanging. Portraits are in sepia tones.

- Description
- Shallow wooden tray. The tray has three slats along the bottom with a small gap between each slat.
- The side of the tray are very worn and weathered with a white haze.
- Included with the tray are 6 thin strips of wood, almost like wood veneer, that are scored at intervals in order to form a wood plant pot. The plant pots would fit inside the tray.
- Object History
- These items belonged to the Hong family - who founded Hop On Farms in Burnaby. Heritage Burnaby has a number of photos and an oral history about the family.
- Used before plastic trays were used more regularly in the 1970s. In the 1970s, the business shifted to selling wholesale bedding plants so the plastic trays were more practical to give away. The wooden trays and pots were taken out to fields for transplanting and cleaned and reused regularly. The donors recall repairing these wooden trays over the winter months. The used the broken pots as bottoms for repaired pots.
