Toll Bridge Tickets - Tickets. Four connected tickets for crossing the Second Narrows Bridge. The tickets are green with a small drawing of the bridge on them. On the top of each ticket is "00191" The tickets were produced by the Vancouver Harbour Commissioners.
Object History
From Denby Bros. Shoe Store at 163 West Pender in Vancouver. Stafford Ague Denby (1882-1957) started peddling shoe findings in 1918 around Vancouver to repair shops around town from the back of an old Ford. Two of his brothers, William Albert (1873-1947) and Melvin Stanley (1879-1953) joined him in 1919 to form Denby Bros & Co. Ltd Leather and Shoe Findings at 163 West Pender. William Gordon Pope started helping out in the shoe store at the age of 10. He eventually ran the store with his cousin, Pat Denby (son of William A. Denby) starting in the 1950s. The store closed in 1974.

This is a four piece fishing rod with a cloth segmented case to hold the individual section of the rod. The rod has line eyes of a fly rod type but the butt piece is set up as a light casting rod. The segments of the rod may be hollow metal. The reel seat is chrome plated and the segments of the rod have a black finish. It is marked "STAG BRAND" on the rod seat

Small bait casting fishing reel. The metal parts of the reel are chrome plated. The crank handle has a single crank knob and a counter weight to balance it. I has the mounting foot to attach to a fishing rod and is loaded with a heavy plastic fishing line. The reels approximate diameter is 5.7 cm.

"TRADE MARK / REG. US. PAT OFF", stamped in side of reel forming a diamond shape with company logo inside. "UTK", company logo stamped on side of reel inside above text.

Leather wallet to carry fishing flies, hooks and leaders. The light tan (pig skin ?) leather cover holds pockets at each cover and a variety of pages for holding flies, snelled hooks and leaders (25 pages in total). There are a five packages of various hooks and lures in the end pockets. There is an attached leather strap to hold the wallet closed.

Description
This is a stack of yellowed paper with two staples holding it together. The front cover has been torn off, exposing the third page which reads "Cast of Characters", and a full listing of the characters. The name "Grieg" is written in cursive in pencil on this page. The pages are tattered and torn. The back cover has a description of the play "Pollyanna" and "The Charm School", each with a synopsis. It also has the playwright's details: Samuel French 25 West 45th Street, New York City.

Description
This is a two or four person handcar used on the Canadian Pacific Railway. The car is powered by a hand pumped eccentric gear. There are four sets of short handles at each end to allow the car to be manually lifted off the track. There is a foot actuated brake on the edge of the platform. Wood shoes are pressed against the wheels.
Object History
This type of railroad vehicle would be used by a work gang as transport to a repair job in their section of the track. A trailer can be attached to carry equipment. The car is easily lifted off the track to allow a train to pass. This particular vehicle's history is not known it is typical of such equipment used on the CPR mainline.

This programme is a blue 8.5 x 11 folded sheet with black print. The front page shares the details of the play called "The Hidden Guest" presented by The Unity Club and performed by the Edmonds Baptist Young People's Union. It took place at the Edmonds Public Hall on Friday April 26, 1929 at 8:15pm. The Edmonds BYPU Orchestra is listed on the front also. The second and fourth pages are non-illustrated advertisements for local businesses. Page three lists the cast character name and given name, in order of appearance.

Button pin, round, buff ground with wide brownish red border and green print. Around edge from left, "JULY / AUG / SEPT". Logo below 'AUG', illegible, "LI--HA" ?, then "1920". At bottom is brownish red dot at centre of "U.B.M.W.E.R.S.L." in circle. Pin is paper formed over a metal back and held in place by pressure. Clear coating over front. Back is dark metal with remains of pin clasp closure ?, coil of wire one side, lighter-coloured patch of metal around opening other side. Back is hollow. Manufacturer's stamp, mostly illegible, "--- CO" "--H.N.Y." and hallmark ?. Metal of back is tarnished, some scratches and wear on front.
Object History
Union dues button for the United Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees and Railroad Shop Laborers which was affiliated with the American Federation of Labour. Burnaby Central Railway Project was constructed on the site of Heritage Village and was financed by the British Columbia Society of Model Engineers; Century Park Museum Association (via Burnaby Parks); Federal Government New Horizons Program and B.C. Goverment Recreation Facilities fund. British Columbia Society of Model Engineers (B.C.M.E.) operated the Burnaby Central Railway inside Heritage Village (Burnaby Village Museum) between 1975 and 1991.

Black metal train signal used on the interurban trams.The lamp has red lenses that face 90 degrees to the line of travel and a single clear lens that faces down the track. The lens opening on the fourth side of the lamp is covered with a flat plate. There is a mounting bracket on this side of the lamp. The clear lens is on a verticaly sliding panel that gives access to the inside of the lamp. Originally this lamp may have had a kerosene lamp for a light source but this lamp has had an electric light bulb mounted inside. The modern power cord is aproximately 12 feet long with a double prong plug. "B C E R" is stamped in the body of the lamp under the clear lens.

The artifact belonged donor's father when he worked for the BCER.

Camp blanket that was worn at camp and belonged to Kay Thomas, a longtime Guider from South Burnaby and one of the founding members of the Burnaby Royal Trefoil Guild.
