Uniform; women's jacket and skirt. Jacket in yellow, adorned with a B.C. Centennial badge with the offical emblem of a stylized grouping of the three "C's" representing Canada, Confederation, Centennial, with the provincial floral emblem, the dogwood, in the centre; two plastic buttons in tortoise shell design as centre fasteners; jacket style with lapels and two waist level pockets. Straight style short skirt in brown fabric.
Object History
The jacket and skirt were issued to female members of Burnaby's 1971 Centennial Committee. It is believed that these pieces belonged to Mary D. Trainer, who was the Centennial Co-ordinator hired to help organize a variety of community events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of British Columbia's entry into Confederation. Burnaby's Centennial Committee was chaired by Mr. James Barrington. The committee organized a variety of community events, including the construction of a Heritage Village (now Burnaby Village Museum). Mrs. Trainer altered her skirt to be shorter than the standard issue skirt: shorter skirts were a more fashionable look for a young woman at the time.

Dish made of glass. Dish is rectangular shape but shallow, the sides flare out slightly. The glass is cut out on the sides to create a design, and the edges are scalloped. The dish has several cracks in the glass.

Victoria (Alexandrina Victoria; 24 May 1819 – 22 January 1901) was the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837, and the first Empress of India from 1 May 1876, until her death on 22 January 1901.

Cut into bottom, on the underside, in dots is "ROYAL" "1837" "1887" "JUBILEE" with a large crown between dates and Jubilee.

Tin. Commemorative, round, metal, tea tin. Body of tin is designed to look like a drum with rope and cord designs around upper and lower rim. Two photo portraits of Queen Elizabeth, alternating with two photo portraits of Prince Philip, around the body of the tin.

"H.M. The QUEEN'S" "SILVER JUBILEE 1952-1977" Underside of the body of the tin is a lengthy label "THIS IS...", "HISTORY" "INSTRUCTIONS" "Blended...MURCHIE'S TEA & COFFEE...VANCOUVER", "LABEL IS REMOVABLE". Information about the Murchie's company, guarantees and instructions on how to make a cup of tea are included. Underside of lid is a crown with "1977" "THE QUEEN'S SILVER JUBILEE". This is also on the inside bottom of the body of the tin.

B.C.E.R. white signal flag on wooden pole. The flag is discoloured and torn. The pole is tapered at the bottom end. The flag is attached to the pole via a vertical slit in the pole. Object History
Flags or signal lamps on the front of the tram communicated information about the train to passengers and workers. Two white flags (or white lights at night) on the front indicated that the tram was a “special” (not a regularly scheduled train).

signal flag; BCER tram "special" running flag. White signal flag on short wooden pole. The pole is tapered at the bottom end. The flag is attached to the pole via a vertical slit in the pole. Four screws pass through the pole, flag and slit. The pole fits in a socket on the front of the tram car. Used to indicate an unscheduled, special run, usually a lacrosse game or race track run. Object History
Donor purchased these items at an antique fair. The dealer had acquired them from the family of a BCER employee who was part of the crew that destroyed the trams when they were decommissioned.
