The caption reads, "New Westminster and Vancouver Tramway Company tram leaving the corner of Hastings and Carral Street for New Westminster. The route was via Hastings St, Cambell Ave, Venables St, then Park Drive through a clearing of stumps (unnamed Grandview) where its single track entered, at Cedar Cottage, a slit in the forest. Said to be the first electric interurban in North America. David Oppenheimer, president; Ben Douglas, vice-president; S.T. Immediately after "The Fire", 13th June, they erected building which still stands, scarcely changed, in 1945.
