- Margaret Pearl Naismith (1887-1970) married Alexander "Allie" MacPherson Cowan (1881-1963) in 1910 in Kamloops BC. Alexander was the son of Walter Scott Cowan (1843-1930) and Annie McPherson (1859-1935), who lived in Burnaby on Douglas Road. Pearl and Allie had three children from their family home at Spruce and Fitzgerald where they lived from 1918 to 1922: Amy, Clara, Thomas Walter Cowan (1918-?) who is seated on his mother's lap in this photo.

- Employee badge, "B.C.E.RY.CO. / 3154 / TRANSIT PERSONNEL". Raised oval shape with a flat back. Plastic or similar material. Obverse is yellow with black lettering, reverse is finished with a silvery plating. There is a punched hole on the left side of the badge. Badge is dirty and yellow is faded. The obverse is split from the hole on the left towards the middle of the bottom edge. Reverse is coroded.

- Round wooden handrail painted brown with a brass mounting bracket on each end. The brackets have four screw holes for mounting. Each end of the handle is attached to the bracket via a copper pin which passes through the handle and bracket. Painted in white paint on the handle is "BCER 1222 B1"'
- Object History
- This handrail was used on the BC Electric Railway interurban 1222.

Each end of the handle is attached to the bracket via a copper pin which passes through the handle and bracket. A piece of blue tape on the handle is stamped "BCER 1222 B2".
