Scope and Content
Potograph of a Johnston Storage Company truck loaded with rolls and stacks of leather for Denby Brothers shoe company. A banner sign that reads "for Denby Bros & Co. Vancouver BC" hangs on the side of the truck that is parked beside a Canadian National boxcar. Inside the opened door of the CN boxcar can be seen more stacks of leather. Inscribed in the negative and printed on the photograph, bottom front: "8158." Annotations on the back of the photograph read: "circa 1921" and "Thurs xxx/ 30 ems x 3 1/2"/ "Hides off loaded." Stamps on the back of the photo read: "Lifestyles" and "Leonard Frank / Photographic Artist / 553 Granville St. / Bay. 1029 Vancouver, B.C./ In re-ordering prints mention no. 8158."
