These notes were taken during telephone and in person interviews between Lisa Langlet (or Jim Wolf) and members of the Love family including: Albert Parker; Esther Stanley (nee Love); Leonard Love; Mrs. Bill Parker; Annie Chamberlain (nee McKenzie); Ruth Boruck (nee Love); Elsie Hughes (nee Parker) and Gordon Love. Notes include information about growing up and living in the house on Cumberland Street. This information was used by the curator to assist in designing the exhibits within the farmhouse. Information in these interviews was broken down into references to rooms within the house, gardens, outbuildings and activities at home.

Photograph of members of the Love family and friends gathered at a piano in the Love family parlour / music room of the Love family farmhouse. The group is identified from left to right as; Charles Deacon holding a violin, Esther Love holding a flute, Hannah (Girlie) Love (standing behind), Jack Guppy holding a violin, George Love holding a recorder or flute and Dot Love holding a flute. There are framed paintings and photographs hanging on the wallpapered walls behind them. The house was located at 1390 Cumberland Road and Fourteenth Avenue (address after 1960- 7651 Cumberland Street). The house was relocated to the Burnaby Village Museum site in 1988 and restored to the 1920s era.

Scope and Content
Series consists of records created and collected during research of the Love family and the Love family farmhouse and include oral history interviews in various formats. Interviews were conducted by Jim Wolf and Burnaby Village Museum curator Colin Stevens with members of the Love family including; Annie Chamberlain, William Parker, Esther Stanley, Albert Parker and Elsie Hughes. Interviews were focused on the subject of the interior and exterior of the farmhouse from a first person perspective. The goal was to obtain as much information as possible from family members in order to accurately restore, furnish and exhibit the farmhouse back to it's original 1920s era.
