Scope and Content: Photograph of Jim Lorimer waving out the window of a bus during the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the 49th Avenue bus service in Burnaby (during his term as Municipal Affairs Minister). He represented the provincial constituency of Burnaby-Willingdon from 1969 to 1975, and again from 1979 to 1983 for the New Democratic Party. Before that he was a Burnaby Council member from 1966 to 1968, and in 1990 he was awarded the status of Freeman, the highest award to be bestowed by the Municipal government.

Scope and Content: Photograph of a young woman standing with a rolled up diploma in her hands, taken in a photographic studio. She has a large ribbon in her hair in the back, and is wearing a long light coloured dress with high neck, with a brooch or a medal pinned to her chest on the left. She has a pendant or a locket around her neck as well. The inscription on the photograph mount written by "Mary" identifies the woman as Ruth in her graduation gown, holding her diploma. Mary and Ruth's relationship to the donor or to Burnaby is not known.
