- Word for word translation is as follows; flower; flag; ginseng. This has been adjusted for English comprehension to "American ginseng". This is a different herb from (Chinese) ginseng. The root of the perennial herbaceous plant Panax quinquefolium L. of the family Araliaceae. Mainly produced in U. S. A. and Canada. Cultivated in Beijing city, Jiling and Liaoning provinces in China also. American Ginseng to be more yin – meaning it is used to reduce 'heat' in the body. In comparison, Asian Ginseng is thought to be more yang – meaning it is used to raise 'heat' in the body. Slightly fragrant, bitter and slightly sweet in flavor. Best quality: Even root, firm, tense thin lines on cover, white-yellow cross section, delicate fragrance, strong in flavor. For lung, heart, kidney and spleen meridians. - The label contains three Chinese characters that are literally translated to: "flower, blossom, bloom; fireworks, spend, expend" and "cloud, sky, heaven, a surname" and "quick, effective, clever, spirit, intelligence." When adjusted to English translation, product is "flos campsis." Flos campsis is a type of flower that can be found in Central China. It blooms in summer and autumn. In traditional Chinese medicine, it helps to cool blood to remove stasis as well as to cure irregular menstruation and rubella. It can provide a good treatment to itchy skin and acne.

- Lable contains 3 Chinese characters that are literally translated to : "high"; "beautiful"; "another name or ancient name for Korea"; "ginseng". When adjusted for English comprehension, product is "Korean Ginseng". Korean Ginseng is the root of the perennial herbaceous plant Panax ginseng. In traditional Chinese medicine, red panax is believed to stimulate yang energy, which improves circulation, increases blood flow, revitalizes the body and aids recovery from weakness after illness. In Asia, red panax is regularly taken to increase vitality and stamina, improve work efficiency, combat fatigue, strengthen the immune system and enhance libido. - Label contains 3 Chinese characters that are literally translated to: "sweet"; "orange"; "skin". When adjusted for English comprehension, product is "Orange peel, Tangerine peel of Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae". Orange peel is the pericarp of Citrus reticulata Blanco. It is collected in the autumn when the fruit is ripe. It is strongly fragrant, pungent and slightly bitter. It enters the spleen and lung meridians, and promotes the flow of qi, stops vomiting, dries dampness and resolves phlegm. It is indicated in the syndrome of qi stagnation in the spleen and stomach, vomiting and hiccup, and cough caused by damp-phlegm or cold-phlegm.

- Object History
- Heritage Village Museum was officially opened in November 1971 as Burnaby's commemorative project to mark the centennial of British Columbia joining Canadian Confederation in 1871. Heritage Village (Burnaby Village Museum) was governed by the Century Park Museum Association which formed in October 1971. The association continued to govern the village museum until the end of 1989. In 1990, the Corporation of the District of Burnaby assumed the operation and management of Burnaby Village Museum and the Burnaby Village Museum Association was dissolved.
