They were at a reception held in Burnaby for Lalonde who went on to become an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1989. Sev Morin owned and operated Gai Paree catering with his wife, and although he was the federal Liberal candidate for the Burnaby riding in 1978, he withdrew before the election.
